Your letter is incredibly well said, as usual, and so eloquently explains the inequities in CPSIA, the risks, and expense that small business is being forced to assume.

I thought about sending a similar type of letter to John Boehner explaining the urgent need for a solution, (since the testing stay is going to be lifted in a little more than 90 days). But, your letter is so well written, I’d like to ask you to send it to him. Will you do that pls? We might be able to get HIS attention!

Rick, thanks for your tireless work on our behalf & your devotion to getting some relief for small business. It is truly appreciated!

Please let me know if you or Steve have any ideas for further pooling our resources so we are heard!

Thanks again,
Debbie

Debbie Bernstein,
Social & Vendor Compliance, CPSIA, CSR
JERRY LEIGH OF CALIFORNIA
7860 Nelson Road
Van Nuys, CA 91402
Tel: (818) 909-6200 x507
Fax: (818) 909-0234
dbernstein@jerryleigh.comDebbie Bernsteinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8811142208729284263.post-38889710673385124412010-11-05T12:49:42.568-05:002010-11-05T12:49:42.568-05:00Given Obama's comments regarding "shovel-...Given Obama's comments regarding "shovel-ready", I think it's clear that he--like most of the people currently running the show--has no idea what it's like to work with the government rather than for it.halojones-fanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05473935330204075559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8811142208729284263.post-32230732740506646892010-11-05T11:28:24.178-05:002010-11-05T11:28:24.178-05:00Rick, I hope you send this letter along with a pac...Rick, I hope you send this letter along with a package of your products right to the White House. if you only send the letter, it will likely get lost in the shuffle. A package will garner hopefully enough attention that it will get clear to the top where Mr. Obama who "feels bad" after this last election can read it.Happymom4 aka Hope Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13853646859979784516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8811142208729284263.post-3636751512178410352010-11-05T10:35:31.030-05:002010-11-05T10:35:31.030-05:00Well said Rick; I've been following your blogg...Well said Rick; I've been following your blogg for a long time and really appreciate all your hard work and information!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8811142208729284263.post-88103262726285028072010-11-05T08:53:35.778-05:002010-11-05T08:53:35.778-05:00Very nice! Maybe we should start a page...LettersToPresidentObama.com so we can explain what the real problem is and perhaps his advisors might read them.

They keep throwing money (or printing money) on problems when what they really need to do is listen to people who are running businesses (and that doesn't count the one person at a town hall meeting who is so overly excited to meet the president that they don't say what they really feel). If a business doesn't feel favorable about their future because of looming threat of law suits and fines and an out of control government no amount of money will fix that. It just isn't that difficult to understand, IF THEY LISTEN.jennifernoreply@blogger.com
